In this self paced 4 week art and design course students will learn how to create and draw their very own anime Pokemon creature. Give your young Pokemon enthusiast a chance to put their Pokemon skills to the test and create their ultimate Pokemon - just for them! Students will learn how to create a whole new Pokemon that has never existed before. There are over 700 Pokemon out there - but this time YOU are the creator. The lesson will be a creative yet structured class where step by step instructions are given via slides and live drawing tutorials on how to design your own Pokemon. Cute? Scary? Strong? Wild? You decide! We will learn how to generate ideas for - and draw the head, face, body, arms and legs. Students will also learn how to draw specific details for extra customisation such as horns, wings, patterns, tails and more! Next we will ink and colour own creations. After we have drawn our Pokemon students will get to name their unique Pokemon and create details about its strengths, weaknesses, type and evolution. At the end of class everyone will get a chance to share their drawings in the classroom page and comment on each others. My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and sensitively pointing out where they could improve. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need a pencil, some plain paper and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art, Pokemon, design and how to draw! So join me and become a Pokemon creating master in this detailed and fun art class where you will meet like minded fans and get to talk and draw all things Pokemon. *This is a self paced class. Each lesson will be delivered via a prerecorded video that will be uploaded into the classroom. Video time may vary but the work time for students will be around an hour long. Learners will then upload a photo of their art work that they complete each week in the classroom. This way I can check for proper understanding of the techniques and concepts, as well as give feedback to the students. They may share with me privately or publicly in the classroom tab. I will also be using fun questions in the classroom relating to Pokemon in order to create fun and art based conversation! Why choose a self paced? - Self paced are great for students who may live in different time zones (Teacher Harriet lives in London UK) - They are an excellent choice for families who have busy schedules, or cant commit to a specific date or time - Students can work at their own pace. Videos can be paused and rewatched at any time Please note: this is the same material used for the live class 'I Choose You! Design and Draw Your Very Own Unique Pokemon With Teacher Harriet!'

over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Introduction and Research
First we will go over an introduction on the origins of some Pokemon and how the Pokemon animators came up with them. This research period will inspire budding young artists and animators to use everyday objects and animals to find ideas for their own Pokemon creature. The class will develop their problem solving skills as well as giving them solid launching off points on how to generate ideas for their Pokemon.
Lesson 2:
Initial Sketch and Design
This class we will start the sketching process and draw out our Pokemon step by step adding lots of different elements and creating a strong visual design for our character. We will learn tips and tricks about different Pokemon eyes/mouths and body/head shapes all unique to the Pokemon we want to create.
Lesson 3:
New Pokemon Description and Naming
Now it is time write about our new Pokemon creations! We will design a Pokemon like card shape to describe different details about our Pokemon such as type, generation, strengths, weaknesses, power moves and more. I will also teach the secret trick to naming a Pokemon and we will be able to generate a cool and meaningful name.
Lesson 4:
