**Are you NEW to Outschool? Use my coupon for a $20 discount! ➡️ TeacherJaq20 ** Does your learner loathe writing? Need more practice in writing? If so, I'm here to help! I firmly believe that EVERY student has the ability to improve and strengthen their writing. From students that need a little extra help to students that possess excellent writing skills, there is always room to create and achieve new learning goals. In this four-week course, students will learn and/or review the conventions and standards of English writing. This course is the third section of "I Can Write Well" (https://outschool.com/classes/i-can-write-well-a-six-week-writing-program-for-elementary-students-JLtYtGD9?usid=QdRM00CZ&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link) This class CAN be taken independently without taking parts one and two. The goal of this course is for students to be able to problem-solution, compare and contrast, descriptive, and cause and effect essays. I will provide written feedback for all students. Students will also have an opportunity to use the feedback to improve their essay and re-submit. I feel it is important for students to have opportunities to apply the skills learned and gain information on how well they have used the newly acquired information. A typical class video will follow this structure: 1. Lesson Introduction- 2 minutes 2. Lecture- 7-15 minutes 3. Assignment Review - 3-5 minutes I look forward to having your learner in my flexible class! I offer a warm, engaging learning environment that fosters creativity and collaboration with the teacher! Learners should be able to complete the course within four weeks. Learners will submit two essays. I offer feedback and an opportunity to resubmit. All feedback will be given within 72 hours (unless the submission is submitted over the weekend. Then, feedback will be given the following Monday/Tuesday.) The course consists of at least one interactive post in which learners comment on the learning video and the teacher responds. These engaging posts are meant to boost the interaction between learner and teacher. For learners that need differentiation, I offer shorter writing assignments, sentence stems, and guided outlines to assist with writing. Please reach out to me for any questions.
