In this 8 week class, students will learn about the important parts of a sentence, distinguishing what is and isn’t a sentence, fixing incorrect sentences, building sentences and creating their own sentences.

- By the end of the 8 week session, students will be able to write their own sentences. Including all the parts(subject-who or what, predicate-action), what a sentence needs to include(capital letter, spacing and punctuation) and how to expand your sentences.
Miss Lindsay has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She has taught in the classroom, homeschooled her kids for 14 years and has tutored full time for the last three years. Her passion is english and loves teaching children how to read, spell and write. Miss Lindsay does have ADHD and works primarily with students who have learning difficulties. She has a certification in Orton-Gillingham and Speech to Print literacy instruction.
This class is inclusive to all unique learning needs. Teacher has ADHD and primarily 1:1 tutors students with ADHD/dyslexia/dysgraphia.
Learners should be able to write all lowercase letters. Knowledge of some sight words and basic short vowel words is helpful, however, this is a beginner class. We promote inclusion and provide a positive to community to help each other.
Required: Lined K-2 handwriting paper/pencil OR Lined white board/marker/eraser *I may send printable to be printed prior to class, but will try to utilize the above for most of our work.
