Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 3
Welcome to Writing class!

☘️ Students from all walks of life are invited to join. It is especially geared towards learners who are hesitant or unsure about what to write. The class will also enhance their comprehension skills as well.

☘️ Students will rotate the different types of writing skills every four weeks so that students can have enough time to practice these. In each class, students will have some take-home and in-class activities to boost their writing skills including grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and fluency.

Class structure

☘️ In the first part, Students will also engage with different fictional texts to boost their language and knowledge of the different elements found in the text. In alternate weeks, we will explore sentence structure, and sentence stretching which they will use in the subsequent activities.

☘️During writing, I will work with each student during this process. Afterward, they will begin writing their sentences, and I will check their progress as they progress. Some examples of characters we will write about include dragons, princesses, Minecraft characters, Pokemon characters, unicorns, and monsters.

In addition, we also work on these aspects over the weeks:
`-plot
-Character traits
-spelling
I mainly want to build students' confidence in writing so they can be lifelong writers!
