Class Experience

In this ongoing class we will learn and review early elementary sight words. We will learn new sight words each week and reinforce them through repeating, reading, singing, writing, hands on activities, and games. Each class with have different activities to reinforce what we learned to keep it fun and engaging! 

No prior classes are required. You may drop in for the week at any time. 

This class will meet the different levels of each learner and we will use a variety of learning techniques that include kinesthetic, visual, and auditory methods. Each week you will be provided with a flash cards print out so you can practice at home too. 

1. Introductions, Welcome Song
2. Review: Sight Word Shout (It's okay if you weren't in the last class!)
3. Introduce new sight words
4. Practice new sight words
5. Sight word activity: Each class will be different. We may be writing, coloring, using playdoh to make words, etc. Be sure to check the classroom page for the list of materials for the week. 
6. Review
7. Goodbye Songs

Learners will be encouraged to participate through speaking, thumbs up, singing, or however they feel comfortable. My classroom is always welcoming and inclusive to all learners. We will sing songs, read books, draw, chat, and have so much fun!

Hello!

I am a certified early childhood to 6th grade teacher. I have been in the teaching field for ten years and love meeting new students. My favorite part about teaching young minds is the ability to foster a joyful learning environment that truly sets children up to love learning and become life long learners themselves. I keep my classes fun, interactive, and engaging so learners enjoy their time in the classroom.

When I'm not teaching, I am spending time with my husband, or baking and playing soccer with my 3 and 6 year old kids.
