This course is to focus only on the Human figure proportion. We will learn how to draw each body section by shapes and group them to great gestures.

Class Experience

This is 60 minutes course focused on the measurement of the human body, by simple shapes and breaking down each part to create gesture drawing.  (basic drawing skill required)
A live demo will be provided in the first 10 minutes, the purpose of the demo is to provide visual information for students. During this time, students will learn the basic measurement of human anatomy.  Students will participate in drawing the human figure and gestures, we will spend 15 minutes on each gesture.  Students will have the option to show their artwork in class.

Learning Goals

-Students will have a better understanding of human anatomy.
-Students will be able to draw the figure with measurement.
-Drawing gestures become more comfortable for students.

-Sketchbook or printing paper 
-Pencil
-Eraser

-Ipad and Apple pencil.  please download this free app ( Autodesk sketchbook pro)

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

In my class, I will teach you the fundamental and analytic skills in arts that you can build on your own and may develop your very own style during the process.

I am Cang, I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art, Digital Media 2D Animation through Kendall College of Art and Designs.  In the past I have work on a comic book called "wireman" and a short animation Youtube channel opening sequence as commission work.  I have also tutored and taught art to teenagers and adults.   

I believe that if you can hold a pen, you can draw!  Art is an interpretation through observation, every artist is unique in their own way. a solid foundation and fundamental skill can go a long way.
