US Grade Pre-Kindergarten
In this two-week class of four 30-minute lessons, students will learn to count, name, and identify numbers beginning from 0-20. They also will have practice with doing simple addition of two numbers. In a fun, engaging and interactive manner, each number beginning with 0 is presented for repetition and recognition. Students are also led to count representative items in pictures (e.g cookies, stars, eggs) that are presented. At the end of each session, students are given activities to reinforce learning and enhance comprehension of the material that was covered. Activities include connecting pictures of items with the correct number, filling in missing numbers, and circling correct numbers that match items in pictures. In the final class students will learn to do simple addition of two sets of numbers from 1-20. Here is what will be on the schedule for each of the four meetings: Class 1 – Introduction to lesson with a number rhyme. Numbers from 0-7 and five learning activities. Class 2 – Numbers 8-13 and five learning activities Class 3 – Numbers 14-20 and five learning activities Class 4 – Simple addition of two numbers and learning exercises Videos and props will be used to enhance interest and learning.
