Class Experience

Working with big numbers can be tricky, and it is so easy to make tiny mistakes. In this class, students will learn two strategies for working with addition up to 1,000. These strategies will break complex problems into simple steps and teach them the skills they need to check for accuracy.

I have taught for 6 years in the public education school system. With experience in teaching 1st and 2nd grade, I have extensive knowledge with common core standards and engaging young learners in fun and meaningful activities. I have a passion for math and love teaching students to develop a love of learning!

Students should come to class prepared with a whiteboard and marker (or paper and pencil) to work through each problem.
