In this one-time course I will be reading 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dan Pilkey. We will be making a thankful craft. Each learner will trace their hand & share 5 things they are thankful for (1 for each finger on our hand).

This class is to help talk about being Thankful as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday! Be sure to have your learner come prepared with a piece of paper and something to write with. We will be reading the book "Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving" by Dan Pilkey and then creating a thankful craft with our hand. Each learner will trace their hand on a piece of paper and then we will discuss and share 5 things that we are thankful for - 1 for each finger on our hand wetraced. Each learner will be given the chance to share. My teaching style is interactive! This class is created to encourage peer to peer interaction and help learners work on sharing with others as well as listening to their classmates. I'm excited to talk about the importance of being thankful and what they're looking forward to about Thanksgiving.

The learning goal for this class to help learners with their peer to peer interaction in sharing and listening. These skills are great to have and learn, whether in a real or interactive classroom setting.

A piece of paper and something to trace their hand and write with. If it is easier to have your learner trace their hand prior to class please feel free to do so!

Welcome, thank you for taking an interest in my classes! My name is Katlin, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Masters in Public Administration. I currently work within the non-profit sector as an Executive Director and am a mom of 2. I love the opportunity to work within the community and with all ages across our departments. I taught at the pre-k level for 3 years, worked with youth 3-12 years of age in a summer program for 7 years and have the opportunity to mentor ages 12-18 within my career over the past 13 years.
I'm excited for the opportunity to teach within this platform sharing knowledge, helping students grow confidence and getting them inspired through creativity!
In my work experience I have interviewed across multiple backgrounds and levels of part-time, full-time and the Executive level. I believe making the smallest adjustment in pre and post interview prep and answering open-ended interview questions successfully can make a difference in getting a job. I am excited about holding an interactive class to help students gain confidence in the overall interview process from prepping to the post-thank you! I look forward to hearing from the students, sharing tips and sharing some real life examples to help along the way!
In my time teaching I loved watching student's creativity unfold! When you give a child the space to create and share their ideas you can see the excitement and confidence grow. As a teacher seeing a child get excited about what they're creating is one of the best experiences! I am looking forward to the opportunity to hold classes to bring out creativity and great discussion.
