Week 1Lesson 1The Outer EarIn this lesson, you will learn about the different parts of the outer ear and how sound travels from the source through the outer ear space.Week 2Lesson 2The Middle EarIn this lesson, you will learn about the different parts of the middle ear and how sounds is transferred from the outer ear and passes through the middle ear.Week 3Lesson 3The Inner EarIn this lesson, you will learn about the different parts of the inner ear and how sound is transferred from the middle ear and passes through the inner ear. The inner ear is called the cochlea and is where our organs of hearing are located!Week 4Lesson 4The Hearing Nerve & Temporal LobeIn this lesson, you will learn how sound travels from the inner ear, through the auditory nerve, and is processed in a specific area of the brain, called the temporal lobe.
The goal of this course is to introduce learners to the world of audiology to increase their knowledge on how we hear.
Homework Offered
Each week, different projects and collaborative assignments will be posted in the classroom for learners to complete either independently or as a group (depending on the assignment). Learners will watch videos and participate in the interactive activities at their own pace throughout the week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

It will be helpful for learners to have access to a printer and printer paper to print certain materials each week. However, it is not required for the learners to have access to this, and they will be able to complete each week's activities with minimal materials that can easily be found around the home. Modifications can be made for certain projects as needed, and learner creativity is encouraged!
