Intermediate Level
Students will learn how to write a five-paragraph essay. They will learn how to write an introduction to grab the reader's attention; how to write body paragraphs that support their topic sentences, and how to write a conclusion that ties the essay up together. My teaching style is one where I am actively involved. As the students are working, I am monitoring their work to offer suggestions or ideas for improvement. In addition, as students write their essays, I also write an essay, indicating every aspect of an essay that needs to be included. This is done so that students can clearly see what the essay format should look like.
