Beginner - Advanced Level
This is a class about how to study and prepare for standardized examinations at the High school and university level. The topics covered will include: 1. Textbook Terms & Their Definitions 2. Connect Big Picture Concepts 3. Reading Textbooks 4. Quotations, Citations, References - Encapsulating Points 5. Essay Templates and Structure This class will be taught through a lecture, followed by questions and practice examples using the student's actually current courses. My teaching style is practical in the sense that the student needs to take a hands-on approach with the subject matter. Student interaction is essential for the students to receive the best results from the class. I will make a presentation of each section and explain from my academic experience the mysteries of test construction and marking.
Learning Goals
The learning goals of this class will include a list of strategies that students should practice for each course when preparing for test taking. These strategies will involve how to read textbooks, take notes, and prepare a template for essays.Other Details

I recommend that students bring their current coursework and current textbooks to class, as we should use them in our practical examples after the class section presentations.
