How to Stay Safe on Social Media: Appropriate Sharing and Internet Safety

Are you concerned about your child's social media use? With so many platforms available, it can be overwhelming to navigate what is safe and appropriate for your learner. In this class, your learner will learn how to use social media safely and responsibly, discussing the potential dangers and benefits of social media sharing. They will also learn strategies for maintaining a positive digital footprint. At the end of class, students will participate in an interactive Kahoot! challenge to reinforce what they have learned.

PLEASE NOTE: This class features a Kahoot! challenge. Students should download the Kahoot! app prior to class or be prepared to interact with the challenge via www.kahoot.it. My classes are an interactive experience and may vary due to peer interaction. Students are encouraged to share appropriately, and this may change the direction of class or allow for social conversation on a variety of topics. Class may exceed scheduled time, but will always fill scheduled time frame.
