Students will be able to talk to each other to help and encourage each other with their sewing. We will start with the very basics, with lots of demonstration time and then time for students to work on their own. Students will learn basic sewing terms, how to thread a machine, how to wind a bobbin, the stitches and what they’re used for, and basic sewing skills. Teacher expertise and credentials
I’m offering this course because as a Family and Consumer Science teacher, I know that not all schools offer sewing anymore. It’s a great skill to have in life, allowing kids to create and make things on their own! They can grow this skill to make things for themselves and others, or to simply be able to hem a pair of pants or fix a rip.
