How to Paint Summer Watercolor Art for Beginners July 2022 FLEX

Homework
1-2 hours per week. In this summer watercolor course, students will be expected to draw their own piece independently at home using the step by step tutorial posted within the classroom. This should take approximately an hour. The introductory interactive presentation itself should only take 10 minutes.Class Experience
There are NO live meetings for this summer watercolor class. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience. Each week for 5 weeks students will be guided through a variety of exercises to help expand their knowledge of what we draw and get ample amount of time to practice their drawing and painting techniques with videos and presentations that have been pre-recorded. Each week will focus on one animal at a time and will be filled with various activities including interactive Nearpod presentations, step by step demonstrations, educational YouTube videos, fun interactive trivia games, ice breaker activities and a chance for students to display their own works using the out school platform. Learning Goals
In this summer watercolor course, students will paint a painting using watercolor and various watercolor techniques. Each student should also be able to leave the classroom with more confidence in their abilities to paint and end class with a deeper understanding of what they are painting.

Parental Guidance
We will be using Nearpod but there will be no need for parents to sign up for any accounts and all YouTube videos will be embedded in each nearpod presentation.
