In this one-time fun cooking class, students learn how to make traditional boba (bubble) tea.

Class experience

Students will need:
1    5 oz (or larger) package of uncooked black tapioca pearls, available at your local specialty food store or online
A black tea teabag
small sauce pan to boil water
a medium colander to drain cooked tapioca
milk
glass full of ice
sugar, to taste
optional:  a giant straw and small chunks of favorite fruits or flavor syrups, like strawberry, make the experience even more fun!
Students will need to be able to manage boiling water, including using a colander to drain it off the tapioca pearls, or have adult supervision during class to assist.
