In this course, students will learn how to set up OBS Studio Students will learn the following techniques on OBS Studio: -Setting up a Scene on OBS -How to add a webcam or video camera on OBS -Adding transitions -Window Capture -How to add audio and change the sound levels of an audio clip -Keyboard shortcuts to switch scenes -How to record videos and minimize editing time My class is structured as a fun and creative environment. I want my students to be involved. During the course, students will be able to ask questions and interact with me. All students will eventually present their own unique OBS set up during class. Prior editing experience is preferred, but not required. All students are welcome!

Students will learn how to use OBS Studios to create videos. They will also learn different techniques on how to use OBS Studios to minimize editing time.

Students will need the following equipment and software: 1. PC Desktop/Laptop (Windows 8 or Windows 10) or Apple Mac Desktop/Laptop (MacOS 10.15 or above) 2. OBS Studio. Students can download the software for free at obsproject.com

Welcome! My name is Simon Tse and I can't wait to have you in class. The classes that I will be teaching are focused on movie making and video editing. I have a bachelor’s degree from DeVry University. I majored in network and communications management. Before I became a teacher, I was working as a technology mentor to students at a Catholic school. I started teaching computer skills, video editing skills, and audio editing skills to many students. I believe that students will learn when they are challenged and having fun at the same time. I am very patient, and I will always help my students when they are having trouble during
the lessons.
In 2020, I started my own YouTube channel about technology and it has continued to grow with a strong community of viewers.
