Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
In this interactive class, learners will explore the world of gardening from familiar foods in their very own kitchens. We will cover the common food items that can be regrown, food that is in itself a seed, and foods that have seeds that can be planted. We will discuss how long these plants take to grow into food, and which foods can be regrown into seeds.
Our class will have an short period for introduction and gathering learner ideas, then we will go over the content in an interactive slide show. We will have time after the slide show to answer questions and generate ideas of what foods each learner might plant in their specific growing conditions. No gardening experience required.

If your learner is 12-15 years old, please see the advanced version of this lesson. It is paced for our older learners.
