In this basic drawing class, we will demonstrate and practice drawing the human face in a fun and engaging way. We will learn how to draw a face using an average placement of features. The proportions we will use are that of a teenage or adult face. Of course, every person has unique features that don't fit within this structure, so we will also show how to adjust the scale when drawing a specific person. We will practice techniques that will make it fun and easy to draw faces. The camera will show exactly what the teacher is drawing so that you can follow along. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience with drawing, you will be able to work at your level. This is one of those skills that can be very useful with time and practice!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to draw a face confidently by using scale and value.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have always enjoyed art. I spent my high school years in the art classroom as much as my school would allow. In college, I studied Studio Art, learning from the best. For more than a decade, I have been teaching children and teens on a weekly basis, and I love every moment of it.
