Want to develop your Splatoon drawing skills?

Want to impress your friends, grow in confidence, and make Splatoon art that you're proud of?

Then join this weekly Splatoon art class, where you will learn new Splatoon Characters every single week. We'll cover everything from Inklings to Octolings to different types of characters. Drop in any week or stay for multiple--you'll learn a new character and leave with art you’re proud of!

Both beginners and advanced artists alike are welcome!

Students will learn how to draw each subject from start to finish, tips on how to take the styles in their own directions, and how to combine what we learn (in each lesson and together) into their own character designs. Exploring the directions Nintendo artists take for creating eye-catching characters will guide students into a stronger creative mindset when drawing existing or original characters and designs.

You'll even develop your own unique take on the Splatoon style.

I'll start by welcoming all students, showing off our reference image/character for the week, and then showing you how to draw it with easy step-by-step instructions, pausing frequently to give feedback if students would like to hold up their art. At the end, we usually have time to color.

This class is continuous and welcomes new learners every single week. You can join at any point and not miss a beat. You can drop in for just a week or stay as long as you'd like. Many learners join and stay for 20, 30, 40 weeks or more! Lessons exist as stand-alone topics, but the longer you stay, the more techniques you'll learn, and the more your skills will grow.

Here are examples of lesson topics that you will find in this class:

🎬 MAGGIE WEHLER, PROFESSIONAL ANIMATOR AND ILLUSTRATOR: Maggie Wehler is a freelance animator and illustrator who has worked on a multitude of indie video games and indie animation projects! As she loved video games and cartoons as a child, she began drawing digitally in middle school and hasn’t stopped since! Taking that passion, she took online classes through the Academy of Art University in highschool and then pursued a degree in Film & Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she also completed a minor in Game Design. After college, Maggie attended the Disney College Program and worked at the Walt Disney World Parks in Florida while attending seminar classes with Disney artists and designers! She also makes freelance animated videos for the Youtube channel Psych2Go, which has over 11 million subscribers! Maggie firmly believes that everyone deserves to have a space to create, all art forms are valid, and any art fundamentals can be learned through drawing characters you love to draw! Other than drawing, Maggie enjoys playing video games like Splatoon and Monster Hunter, along with watching movies, anime and reading graphic novels.
