🌟Welcome to How to Draw: Pokemon🌟

A weekly class that will guide students on how to draw Pokemon step by step.

In this engaging class, students will learn the fundamentals of how Pokemon are made. This class is perfect for any Pokemon lover. No previous class is required to join. Previous drawing experience does help but is not needed. Any student at any skill level is encouraged to join.

This is an ongoing class, but students can join at any time.

🌟What you can expect:

Each week we will go through a guided lesson on how to draw the weekly Pokemon character. I will discuss basic structure of the character, colors, and textures to prepare students to help build their own! By the end of the class, I will have shown common structures and tropes of each Pokemon to help prepare them to create a character of their own. That way, they are allowed to express their creativity with their new found knowledge.

I will always take ample time to stop and take breaks. It is important that I help make sure every student is on the same page and no one is falling behind. I will also encourage students to engage in critical thinking. Questions I might ask might be, Why do you think this Pokemon is colored this way? Do you think the shape of the Pokemon helps portray their personality, why or why not? It’s important for students to not only know how to draw the Pokemon but why they are drawing certain features. My goal as an educator is to make sure that students not only follow along, but truly understand what they are crafting.

During class, I will be drawing using my IPad. This provides students with a better viewing experience. Students can follow along with either a digital drawing device or traditional drawing materials. Please note, this is not a digital art intro class, I will not be teaching how to use a digital program. However, if students have difficulty or questions about their materials, I encourage them to ask.
