How to Draw Cartoon Animals - Fun Facts and Animal Drawings Art Club
In this club students we will learn fun facts about different animals. Each week we will learn information about a new animal. We will then draw and color the animal together by following step-by-step directions creating a piece of art.

During this ongoing class we will learn about different animals. We will learn fun facts and have great conversations with the teacher and other students. We will also draw and color a picture of the animal for the week. Animal drawings are at a beginner level. ⭐️ Upcoming Animals ⭐️ June 5th Toucan 🪺 June 12th Elephants 🐘 June 19th Red Cardinals 🐦🔥 June 26th Otters 🦦 July 3rd Basilisk Lizards 🦎 July 10th Seahorses 🌊 July 17th No Class ❌ 📍Class Format 1. Student greetings 👋 2. Class discussion During this time students will have opportunities to share and discuss the interesting facts about the animal for the week. We will learn some new, fun facts about the animal. We will learn about the new animal through fun discussions. We may learn about different animal habitats, diets, unique qualities etc. 3. Art time 🎨 We will draw and color a picture of the animal. (If you child does not want to draw they may color the animal provided in my attachments) I will show the students step by step how to draw the animal. (This is a directed drawing. Students may decide to add their own details to their own personal picture. All drawings are at a beginner level) 4. Share We will share our pictures with the class (if time allows) ****Remember student can subscribe/unsubscribe at any time. **** I also love taking recommendations for my animal of the week. If your learner has a specific animal they would like to learn more about and draw please let me know. I hope to meet your learner soon!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify and discuss basic information about the animal of the week.
Students will draw (or color) the animal of the week.
Students will interact with other students in a respectful manner.

Supply List
The students will need: 1. White paper (if the student does not want to draw they may print out the attached document to color) 2. Pencil 3. Crayons, markers, or color pencils (whichever is preferred.)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
