How to Draw Cartoon Animals - Fun Facts and Animal Drawings Art Club

In this club students we will learn fun facts about different animals. Each week we will learn information about a new animal. We will then draw and color the animal together by following step-by-step directions creating a piece of art.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
During this ongoing class we will learn about different animals. We will learn fun facts and have great conversations with the teacher and other students. We will also draw and color a picture of the animal for the week. Animal drawings are at a beginner level.

📍Class Format

2. Class discussion
During this time students will have opportunities to share and discuss the interesting facts about the animal for the week. We will learn some new, fun facts about the animal. We will learn about the new animal through fun discussions. We may learn about different animal habitats, diets, unique qualities etc. 

3. Art time 🎨
We will draw and color a picture of the animal. (If you child does not want to draw they may color the animal provided in my attachments) I will show the students step by step how to draw the animal. (This is a directed drawing. Students may decide to add their own details to their own personal picture. All drawings are at a beginner level)

4. Share 
We will share our pictures with the class (if time allows)

I also love taking recommendations for my animal of the week. If your learner has a specific animal they would like to learn more about and draw please let me know.

Supply List
The students will need:

1. White paper (if the student does not want to draw they may print out the attached document to color)
2. Pencil
3. Crayons, markers, or color pencils (whichever is preferred.)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
