This will be a fun class learning how to draw and color a picture of a fairy. After drawing the outline, we will keep creative as well make-up a unique story for our fairies while we color them in. Each learner will create their own coloring page and be able to start coloring it during class. All you need is paper, a drawing tool, and coloring tools. *Please check the supply list. **Invite a friend, discounts will be given to everyone in a class with more than 1 student! I will instruct the students step-by-step on what line to draw, show a clear demonstration of drawing it, and give everyone time to draw the line themselves. Students will be able to see my face and my drawing throughout the class. I'll be available to help and answer questions as well as give encouragement in the drawing process. Once everyone has their outline completed, we use the rest of the class to color independently while chatting and creating a fairy tale for each fairy. I will leave up a screen showing my completed drawing if anyone wants to reference it for colors or, of course, they can color it in the way they want. During our discussion and coloring time, we'll chat about our fairies and imagine what each one is like. What are their names? Where do they live? What do they eat? If they had their own fairy tale, what would happen in it?
Learning Goals
This class is for developing creativity with a visual picture as well as creating a story.

Hello everyone!
If you see a class you like but the time doesn't work, I'm happy to work with your schedule. Even if you are in a different time zone or my automatic availability isn't open at a certain time, reach out and there is a good chance I can make something work for you.
A bit about me and my teaching style:
I am passionate about art and creativity. Even more so, I love to inspire that in others. It's not about talent or skills you were born with, it's all about expressing yourself and growing your talent through practice and guidance. I believe everyone has the ability to create masterpieces and should have the freedom to find their own way of making them. I teach with a step-by-step demonstration approach while encouraging students to do it their own way whenever they feel ready to do so. This approach allows for wonderfully blended classes where the less experienced or shy learners can follow along with me and the bolder ones can work in their own way alongside us. Either way, we all end up with unique art we can be proud of and improved knowledge about the art/craft process we are practicing.
My classes are designed to be highly interactive and engaging with questions & answers throughout as well as hands-on activities. Be sure to check the supply list for each class because learners get the best experience when they are ready to learn with every material needed for the class.
In addition to my bachelor's degree in biology, I have a Graphic Arts certificate which I earned from Autry Technology Center. I earned 1st place in state (Oklahoma) and 6th nationally in the 2001 National Skills USA Championship competition in graphic communications. I teach the arts of drawing and painting to adults online on a voluntary basis. I also teach arts and crafts to children as a professional online and as a volunteer in person.
I have over 3 years of online teaching experience with students 4-17 years old. I have also worked with children in person in a variety of settings from my current position as a children's church leader to volunteering in afterschool care for at-risk children.
