US Grade 4 - 7
Kittens, especially the newborns (or "bottle babies" as they're often called), are adorable...and hard work! They require round-the-clock attention and specialized knowledge. Among other things, we'll be discussing: - how to tell the kitten's sex - how to feed bottle feed kittens - how kittens go to the bathroom (hint: you have to help) - how to keep kittens warm - bathing kittens - how to keep records - "Fading Kitten Syndrome" and what to watch for - how to get involved with fostering these beautiful babies! Grown cats may be low maintenance, but kittens are more assuredly NOT. They're so completely worth it, though, so let's get together and get you started on your journey to raising some fur babies! This class is specifically focused on kittens aged 0-8 weeks. Meaningful participation is encouraged, though no one will be put on the spot to answer or contribute.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will be discussing how to tell the sex of kittens, using proper names for body parts and visual aids to help in that.
It should be noted that I am not a veterinarian, merely a volunteer foster mom of bottle baby kittens who has been specially trained in their care.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
