During this class, students will participate in enjoyable, scientific discussions about human inventions inspired by nature. We will be learning from looking at pictures, watching some short videos, and listening to some facts and doing some brainstorming as we find the answers to some informative questions. When we use a conversational teaching style, it will help to engage the learners and makes the information more receptive. We will also do a have a little project assigned each work to work on that we can discuss during the next class. We will be using the website called Nearpod to help us during class.

In this class, we will answer the question, "what is biomimicry? We will discuss 3 specific specific birds (Owl, Emperor Penguin & Other Birds) and how human inventions have been inspired by them.

Also during class we will have a brief brainstorming session where each student will make a drawing and brief description of something they would like to invent based on the animals we discussed in class.
