30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Join this fun-filled class to learn an advanced Musical Theater Tap piece to the song "Hot Chocolate" from The Polar Express. Students are encouraged to wear holiday attire to class as we warm up to holiday themed music and put together tap steps into a short, fun, holiday dance. Be sure the attire doesn't impede your dancer's ability to dance or to see, as that is a dancing hazard. I will teach by demonstration and verbal explanation and my pace will be geared towards the more intermediate and advanced tapper. Students will need to be an intermediate-advanced level tapper with either: *3 or more years of tap class experience *Mastery of basic skills of paradiddles, shuffles, flaps, more complex phrases with a mix of heels, digs, taps, shuffles, flaps, etc. Come join the fun!

Parental Guidance
Please ensure the following for safety during class:
-your child's attire isn't a tripping or choking hazard and that it does not impede their vision or hearing
-child has a dance space free of tripping hazards (a few square feet of space is sufficient)
It is also recommended that the students have a closed container of water easily accessible in the event they need a drink. Please also stay within sight range of your child in case they need technical assistance.
Supply List
Tap shoes that fit appropriately are needed for this tap class. A tap board (1/4" plywood of an adequate size from a local hardware store is fine) is recommended if you would like to protect your floors from damage.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
