Horse Discussions

Danee Rudy
Average rating:4.8Number of reviews:(13)
Each week we will discuss a horse topic. Topics may include horse breeds, nutrition, health, tack, riding disciplines, and more.

Class experience

Actual subject matter will vary, but kids will be honing many skills in this class. Students will learn how to have academic and educational conversations in a safe environment. They will learn to research topics that interest them. Kids will present to the class often which is an important skill set often lacking in our digital age.
Danee Rudy is a crazy horse kid that is now an adult. She has a depth of knowledge in almost every horse topic. She has been teaching horsemanship and riding for 15 years, taught clinics for pony club and 4H, was a finalist in the Mustang Makeover, competed nationally in show jumping, earned her bronze and silver in dressage, is an expert in trick training, and bridleless riding, and has at least some first hand experience in reining, cutting, driving, sidesaddle, and more. More importantly she loves teaching and is a life long learner.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • google slides
If a student has access to horses, and we discuss riding or training topics, parents may want to make sure their child does not try new things on their own. We will stress during class that an online class is no substitute for guidance and supervision. We also may cover a few gory topics like parasites or impaction colics. With horses comes horse manure, which is sure to come up at some point!
