US Grade 1 - 4
This is a small group weekly ongoing class. I am a certified Early Childhood Education teacher with a certification for Pre-K through Fourth Grade and I am able to help your student in any subject! I can offer tutoring in math, science, social studies, grammar, language arts, writing, or any other subject covered in the general education classroom! I would also love to assist with any homework, explanation of a concept, and test prep. Learners may bring specific problems to the session, or ask for help with a general concept. Since this is an ongoing class, students have the flexibility to attend sessions as they need. Each class will be specifically designed based on your child's needs. Parents will have the opportunity to provide information about their learners' current struggles/strengths and request a specific area for the classes to focus on. It is helpful to have 24 hours notice of what you would like to work on so that I can prepare high quality interventions and enrichment opportunities for your learner. Helpful information to provide: 1. What concepts does he/she need to work on or dislike? 2. What is your main goal for these sessions? (homework help, classwork help, review, school prep, test prep, etc.) 3. What grade is he/she in? 4. What concepts is he/she very good at or like? I look forward to working with you!

Hello! I am Kristen Galloway. I am a curious life long learner, and I want to share my love of learning with others! I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and relevant. I want to meet each child where they are developmentally and be a part of their journey of discovery. With a background in general education, I love to teach lessons that incorporate reading, writing, math, science, social studies. Learners should feel comfortable and welcome in the classroom. I think it is important to make learning a personal experience for each learner. I encourage each student to share their thinking. I work create a space where learners feel comfortable to learn. In order for every child to flourish they need to be seen, heard, and loved.
I believe in building relationships with my students and making learning engaging and connected to their lives. I use a multi-sensory approach to learning. I incorporate multiple domains throughout my lessons. I love to have fun in the classroom through conversations, games, and hands-on learning.
