Class Experience

Welcome to our exclusive social club designed for homeschoolers aged 9-12! Join us in a fun and safe environment where making friends and enjoying engaging conversations take center stage. Our classes maintain an intimate setting with a maximum of 8 students, ensuring each participant can actively participate without the need for breakout rooms, a preference for your safety.

In this laid-back atmosphere, students will enhance their social and conversational skills, fostering self-confidence and the ability to connect with others. Don't forget to bring your snacks and favorite cozy blanket for added comfort!

Here's what each exciting week holds for our members:

Greetings and Sharing Highlights:

Begin with warm greetings and a chance for each student to share the best part of their week.
Ice Breaker Games:

Dive into the fun with engaging ice breaker games, setting the stage for interactive and enjoyable sessions.
Weekly Topics and Student-Led Conversations:

Explore a variety of topics chosen by students, fostering student-led discussions with gentle guidance from the teacher. Conversations may naturally evolve, creating a dynamic and diverse learning environment.
Goal Setting Time:

Wrap up each class with an empowering "goal setting" session. Students will have the opportunity to set and share goals for the upcoming week, whether big or small, promoting motivation, self-discipline, and future-oriented thinking.
To enhance the learning experience, depending on the weekly topic, a printout or a small supplies list may be provided in the classroom for students to bring to our meeting.

Please note that our discussions will steer clear of controversial topics such as politics, sexual health, and medical issues, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all.

As an ongoing class, no previous experience is required, and students are welcome to join or leave as they please. Join us on this exciting journey of friendship, self-discovery, and goal achievement!

Hello there! I'm Teacher Madi, your culinary guide and fitness enthusiast based in the sunny state of Florida. With over 5 years of experience running a successful food blog and a deep understanding of allergies and recipe substitutions without compromising flavor, I bring a unique blend of expertise to the kitchen.

In addition to my culinary background, I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in dietetics, further enhancing my knowledge in nutrition and healthy living. Alongside my academic pursuits, I've been involved in various teaching capacities for a decade. From ESL instruction to coaching gymnastics and acro for students aged 2 to 16, my teaching philosophy centers around interactive, personalized, and interest-based learning.

As a homeschooler K-12, former gymnast since age 5, and college cheerleader with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development, my journey has been diverse. I'm passionate about cultivating self-confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and a genuine love for learning in each student. This approach involves tailoring my teaching style to their individual experiences, interests, personality, comfort levels, and strengths.

My class offerings are as diverse as my background. I offer a range of classes, spanning from lessons focused on fitness and culinary skills to learning based on individual interests and curiosities.

If you have any specific class requests, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm thrilled to connect with your student in the virtual classroom and help them excel! Let's embark on this exciting learning journey together.
