In this 4 week class, your child will learn about the interactions of living things and ecosystems while making an interactive notebook and doing two science labs.
Class experience
The interaction of living things is all around us! We see it everyday whenever we see animals and plants in different settings. We are also a part of this interaction. In this four week class, we will meet two times a week to learn about ecosystems, plants and their needs for survival, predators and prey, and the temperate deciduous forest biome. Hi, I'm Miss Robyn, and I have taught kids of all ages as a public school teacher, private instructor with my local homeschool organization, and as a 4-H leader. I enjoy sharing my interests with kids which include: science, cooking & baking, gardening, reading, hiking and enjoying nature. My husband and I homeschooled our two sons from kindergarten through high school. I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas.
Homework Offered
The two science experiments will require the kids writing their observations and completing a lab report. The lab reports will be uploaded to the classroom so that it can be printed for class. Also, the kids will be creating a biome project after meeting 7 outside of class. They will share their projects with the class in meeting 8.Assessments Offered
