Does your child need extra review or are you experiencing a shortened school week due to restrictions? If so, this may be just what you are looking for! What child doesn't like games? And games where math learning is reviewed is even better! Games can help students who are struggling enjoy learning, rather than dread boring drills and can help students who are on current level or excelling love math more and excel to a greater degree. Fun learning is the best learning and review is essential, especially with younger learners. In this weekly class, learners will play a variety of group or team games, as well as individual games, reviewing topics such as coin counting, word problems, place value, addition and subtraction facts 11-18 and other math concepts. The first five minutes will be spent in review, followed by a game of tic-tac-toe, math bingo, and others. This game format will help children achieve the necessary practice, without having to spend time with boring worksheets. This game time will continue weekly but add topics as the school year progresses and more second/third grade concepts are added. This class is open only to second and third grade learners.
