Homeschool Math for Upper Elementary Students Part A
This is an 18 week course working on the common core math topics for your student's grade level. Students will have a 25 minutes lesson once a week and then a homework assignment for the week.

Homework
1 hour per week. Home work assignments will be assigned weekly for students that are taking the class for a grade. Students not wanting a grade, homework is optional.Assessment
We will use Greg Tang Math for the homework assignments and some of the assessments.Grading
Grades will be offered by parent request. There will not be grades given unless a parent requests them.Class Experience

Beginner Level
The student will meet with the teacher once a week to teach the lesson. The student will then have homework to do during the week. If a student has a question about the assignment they can email the teacher, who usually responds within a day. We will start off with some review then start covering multiplying, dividing, fractions and decimals during session A. Review *Place Value *Basic division *Prime numbers *Factor trees *Parts of a fraction *Equivalent fractions Multiplying *Two digit by Three digits Fractions *Adding and Subtracting fractions with common denominator *Adding and Subtracting fractions with unlike denominators *Multiplying Fractions *Dividing Fractions Decimals *Add and Subtract decimals *Multiply decimals We also do at least one game night where all the students get together in my math gaming class to practice multiplication. A complimentary coupon will be sent out to sign up the week before the gaming class.

Mrs. O's classes are designed to work with a variety of learners. If you students has a need for an accommodation, please let the instructor know.
Parental Guidance
We will be using Greg Tang math both as screen share and homework assignments. An account login will be provided once tutoring begins. The instructor has taken several training workshops from Greg Tang and feel that his materials along with class lessons, will benefit the learner greatly. The instructor will be able to check on the students homework so they can access how the student is doing and plan the next weeks lesson accordingly.
