Students make be asked to bring toys to class, favourite book, or more!Class Experience
Hey you! It’s time to make some new friends…Come and swap your favorite stories, tell us all about your week, or your favourite toy! We are here to make friends, learn from one another, and laugh. I am a former homeschooler, who now teaches in the homeschool community, and I love to engage with current homeschoolers and help them in any way I can. Some things we will do in class: + play games! + story time! + learn about our friends + share our favourite toys + introduce our pets! + and so much more! Our session topics will be learner directed, and depend of the varied needs of the group each week. As a group begins to establish (within 2-3 weeks) I will start to allow students to direct the class in terms of what they want more (or less!) of, to best suit their needs! We will play games, swap ideas for school/daily life, and make new friends every week. My goal for this on-going class is to provide an opportunity for homeschooled 5-10 year old students to learn from their peers, build friendships across the country (and world!), and gain insight as to how other families homeschool. This will empower my learners to get the most out of their education, and make friends along the way! No background knowledge is required to succeed in our ongoing class - just the desire to learn from others and make friends!
Learning Goals
This class serves as an introduction to my older homeschool hangout groups, in class we will learn to:
+ introduce ourselves, pets, and others to new friends
+ take turns
+ as friends questions
+ stories
