All About writing is a very exciting unit for young students to explore. This kind of writing is fun because students are very knowledgeable about many subjects and can teach an audience about many things in book writing.
In this class, students will learn about informational writing and think about topics in which they are experts on. They will think about topics , plan their pages, and write important facts in their all about books. Students will choose topics so that they can...This class is taught in English.
1. Students will write books about things they know all about. 2. Students will chose a topic that they know a lot about and write facts. 3. Students use background knowledge to come up with ideas for their books. 4. Students will draw pictures and diagrams to go with their pages. 5. Students will write sentences to go with the pictures. 6. Students will edit their books for grammatical errors and punctuation.
I have taught Writers Workshop in my district for over twenty- five years. I have received training at Columbia University Teachers College on Writers Workshop. I have also taken additional classes at my school with teachers from the college.
