This is a three week class of holiday fun favorite songs on piano for beginner to intermediate students. This class will have songs that use one hand at a time. Learners should already know where the keys are on the keyboard.

This piano class is going to cover four different winter holiday, fun favorite songs on piano for learners who play at the level of one hand at a time. This class is best for students in First 4 Piano Lessons, Piano Music Class 1, or Piano Music Class 2. (There is a two hands at the same time level of this class also listed for Piano Music Class 3+) (Learners who have not had any piano experience should consider taking my Introductory First Piano Lesson: 10 Notes, 10 Fingers, 3 Songs class or the First 4 Piano Lessons class before this class begins) The four songs we will learn in this class are Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Up On the Housetop, and Auld Lang Syne. The beginning of class will be a warm-up song opportunity for each learner to play a song of their choice that they already know or have practiced. Next, we will work on naming notes in Treble Clef and Bass Clef. Finally, we will spend the remainder of each class working on the four holiday songs in order. Some note name hints will be included in the songs and clean no-hint versions will also be provided in the slideshow after class for practicing. Learners who practice between lessons will better retain the new knowledge of the songs.
Learning Goals
Learners will work on their Treble Clef and Bass Clef note recognition. Learners will work on four holiday fun favorite songs and will be given the music in a slideshow after each class in order to practice piano on their own between classes.

Parental Guidance
This class will use a Google Slideshow for the piano music that can be printed from for practicing outside of class and performing at holiday gatherings.
Supply List
Learners will need access to a piano or keyboard and be able to see the slideshow on the screen of their device during class in order to see the new music.
