What mischief has Rudolph been up to now? It looks like colorful fun! Let's join in and have some fun of our own. This is a fun class to draw and color a cute holiday picture of a reindeer (Rudolph if you color the nose red!) wearing a winter cap and wrapped in Christmas lights. After the step-by-step drawing instruction, we will chat together about reindeer and other topics while we color. This is an interactive class but the supplies needed are simple - paper, a drawing tool, and colors. Please check the supply list for more details. *Multi-learner classes will be discounted from the listed price. (Upon Request) Enroll in a class with another learner or invite a friend! I will instruct the students on how to draw each line, show a clear demonstration of drawing it, and give everyone time to draw each step themselves. Students will be able to see my face and my drawing throughout the class. I'll be available to help and answer questions as well as give encouragement in the drawing process. Once everyone has their outline completed, we use the rest of the class to color independently while chatting. I will leave up a screen showing my completed drawing if they want to reference it for colors or, of course, they can color it in the way they want.
Learning Goals
Learn to draw a complete picture and express creativity with your own choices for color and details.

Hello everyone!
If you see a class you like but the time doesn't work, I'm happy to work with your schedule. Even if you are in a different time zone or my automatic availability isn't open at a certain time, reach out and there is a good chance I can make something work for you.
A bit about me and my teaching style:
I am passionate about art and creativity. Even more so, I love to inspire that in others. It's not about talent or skills you were born with, it's all about expressing yourself and growing your talent through practice and guidance. I believe everyone has the ability to create masterpieces and should have the freedom to find their own way of making them. I teach with a step-by-step demonstration approach while encouraging students to do it their own way whenever they feel ready to do so. This approach allows for wonderfully blended classes where the less experienced or shy learners can follow along with me and the bolder ones can work in their own way alongside us. Either way, we all end up with unique art we can be proud of and improved knowledge about the art/craft process we are practicing.
My classes are designed to be highly interactive and engaging with questions & answers throughout as well as hands-on activities. Be sure to check the supply list for each class because learners get the best experience when they are ready to learn with every material needed for the class.
In addition to my bachelor's degree in biology, I have a Graphic Arts certificate which I earned from Autry Technology Center. I earned 1st place in state (Oklahoma) and 6th nationally in the 2001 National Skills USA Championship competition in graphic communications. I teach the arts of drawing and painting to adults online on a voluntary basis. I also teach arts and crafts to children as a professional online and as a volunteer in person.
I have over 3 years of online teaching experience with students 4-17 years old. I have also worked with children in person in a variety of settings from my current position as a children's church leader to volunteering in afterschool care for at-risk children.
