In this 8 week course, students will learn beginner Spanish verbs and phrases like colors, numbers, introductions, household items/rooms, family, animals, food, weather, and places/verbs.

1 hour per week. Each Week students will have a worksheet to complete for the following class (they will receive worksheet after each class). Week 4 and Week 7 they will not receive homework but will be expected to review class notes to prepare for the game/last class.Assessment

In this course, students will learn all the building blocks to speaking Spanish Language. *if you are hesitant to commit to an 8 week course, there is now a one time course being offered to introduce your student to the style of the course. If you chose to enroll after the one time course, a discount will be applied to this course* Week 1: Students will learn the alphabet, numbers 1-20, colors, and how to introduce themselves in Spanish/greetings and goodbyes Week 2: Students will learn animals and food. How to talk about what they like and do not like, pets, and describing food Week 3: Students will learn household items (door, window, couch ect) and rooms in the house. They will also learn how to talk about their family. Week 4: Students will learn numbers 20-50, the days of the week, and the months of the year (Short Review Game) Week 5: Students will learn about the weather and timing and how to talk about it in Spanish. Students will go through clothing items and be able to talk about clothes. Week 6: Students will learn about action verbs and about different activities/places Week 7: This class will be a total review of the course content from weeks 1-6. (Week 5 and 6 go over a lot of content and may run into week 7 time) Week 8: Students will review course by playing a Jeopardy themed game, singing songs, and practicing their Spanish in conversation. (This class may run longer but no later than 20 minutes past class time, you can leave at the scheduled end time if needed). The last class is meant to be a fun reward for the students! Students will get to play games and talk about their favorite animals, colors, foods ect in Spanish. Students will be able to recognize Spanish Words. I have 3 years of experience with the Spanish speaking language and can converse in basic Spanish. The course will be a 50% mix of Spanish and English. No experience is required for this is beginners Spanish. Students coming into this course would benefit from it and be more familiar with the Spanish speaking language to build on for future courses using conversation. Students are taught through games, songs, videos, and flashcards/conversation in class. Each class is 40 minutes long. The first five minutes will always be a review from last class. Siblings must take the course on the same computer/screen in order to avoid tech issues.
