Today, one of the most recognizable symbols in the world is the peace symbol. Whether it's the circle with the upside down Y in it or two fingers held up in a V, people everyone recognize this symbol. In this one time class, we will learn about various peace symbols through out history, from the olive branch, the dove, the rainbow, the V symbol, and the easily recognizable peace sign. We will examine their origins, how they have been used throughout history in various cultures, and take a look at how they are interpreted today.
