This class will thus emphasize the development of cognitive skills such as historical/critical thinking, analysis, and relating different historical topics to one another.
I have taught historical seminars about understanding history as historical/critical thinking at various university prep schools and colleges/universities in Europe and the United States.
There are many sources that are used for teaching and discussing historical and critical thinking in this class. Dr. Brezina's experience as a teacher and professor of history will allow him to introduce select articles to help students interpret the current theories, helping students understand history as a way of thinking and system of understanding. For example, he will draw from The Historical Journal and History Today magazine, both of which are commonly used as objective and well-respected sources in the field of history. (However, the students are not required to purchase or use these journals.)
