The learning goals for this course will be to review some of the more catastrophic weather events in American history. It will also compare and contrast older events with more modern events that have significantly impacted the U.S. Additionally, there will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions about catastrophic events in U.S. history. There will be no assigned home work in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.
Learning Goals
The student will learn about hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods and will compare and contrast an older event to a more modern event.
