Hip Hop/Musical Theatre, Descendants Themed Dance Class #1 -"Rotten to the Core" English
This beginners hip hop dance class will introduce basic movements of hip hop. We will warm-up, stretch and learn a fun, upbeat routine. During class we also take a couple breaks and play a Descendants game at the end of class! Feel free to dress up!

During this class we start off with a warm-up and stretch our bodies for about 15 minutes. This will include cardio and learning some hip-hop moves. Music for this class is based on the first Descendants movie only! We will then learn choreography to an upbeat and fun dance routine from Descendants 1. (25 -30 minutes) During class we will have a couple breaks and at the end of class we will play "Pin the Poison Apple on the Descendant" for about 5-10 minutes! Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes are not necessary. *The duration of the warm-up and choreography time may vary do to student participation. Length of routine may vary depending on ability of majority to pick up choreography. *All music is age appropriate and goes with our theme. *Choreography learned will be of my own creation. *Great option for those that homeschool looking for arts or P.E. option or looking for extracurricular activity for after school or weekends!
Learning Goals
Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a full routine by the end of the class!

Parental Guidance
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing.
During our Pin the Poison Apple on the Descendant game, it is recommended that an adult helps assist their child or is nearby to make sure the area is safe when playing! (Dance at your own risk.)
Supply List
We will be playing Pin the Poison Apple on the Descendant during the end of class. Please print out PDF #1 to hang up. (If you are unable to print, you can bring your own target.) You can make your own apple or print out the apple attachment #2 below and you can bring your own mask or again you can print out the mask attachment #3. We will play at the end of class. (It is recommended that an adult helps assist their child or nearby to make sure the area is safe when playing!)
