What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Great singers aren't born, they are trained. But many vocalists don't know the steps they need to take in order to improve their singing. Higher, Louder, More Beautiful answers the question "how do I make my singing voice sound the way I want?" Topics include: - musicianship vs. technique - four ways of learning to sing (lessons, practice, rehearsal, and performance) - basic singing vocabulary like breathing, resonance, and registration. To get the most out of this class, learners should be able to read and write English and should already enjoy singing (in choir, musical theater, voice class, or just singing around the house).
Learning Goals
Upon completing this class, learners will be able to describe the process of learning to sing using music-specific vocabulary words such as "technique" and "musicianship," and explain the difference between practice and rehearsal as they relate to singing.
