Join Our High School Spanish Club for Beginners! Our club offers a dynamic and structured approach to learning Spanish, perfect for high school beginners. Each session runs for 25 minutes on Zoom, filled with activities that not only teach Spanish but also make learning enjoyable and effective. Each lesson is designed to be independent—you can join at any time. Class Structure Interactive Reading: Each class starts with a short story, displayed on a shared screen, focusing on real-life scenarios and relatable characters. Guided by a native Spanish speaker, students will take turns reading aloud. Vocabulary Building As we progress through the story, we pause to introduce and explain new vocabulary, ensuring all students fully grasp the words and their contexts. Gradual Language Transition: Stories initially come with English translations, gradually transitioning to full Spanish to match the students' improving language skills. Engagement and Assessment Quizzes and Discussions: To assess comprehension and encourage active language use, the class includes quizzes with multiple-choice questions and opportunities for students to formulate their own responses in Spanish. Free-Form Discussions: These slides are essential for students to practice conversational Spanish, boosting their confidence and fluency in a supportive setting. Special Jeopardy Game: To make learning even more exciting, we will conclude our classes with a Jeopardy game. This fun competition will help reinforce the material learned, testing students’ knowledge in a lively and engaging way. Our methodical yet flexible approach helps students not only learn Spanish effectively but also gain the confidence to use the language in various contexts. Summer Schedule- Each lesson is designed to be independent—you can join at any time without missing a beat!
