US Grade 8 - 11
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Students will learn concepts related to linear, radical, quadratic, rational, exponential and conic functions. I will post 3 to 4 videos weekly with a pdf of assignments and a weekly quiz. In addition, I will post a cumulative assessment the last week. I will use both pdf and Ck-12.org for assessments and will provide you with a class code for the Ck-12.org assessments. My teaching style is I do, We do, You do. In the videos I will show you how to work a concept and then encourage you to pause to work out a problem before doing the pdf assignment. If you have problems with an assignment I will address this issue as often as needed and If necessary. Upon request, I will create a video explaining the concept issues that occur. I will stay in contact with students/parents up to 4 weeks after class is over.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University
I have a BS degree in Mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University and a Masters in Education from American InterContinental University and I have taught for 30 years in public school and 4 years in Outschool. I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus in bot public school and on Outschool.
In public school, I taught in New Mexico, Connecticut and Texas. I have taught a huge diverse group of students. Because I am somewhat Bilingual, I was able to use my skills of diverse culture to understand the needs of my students.
I believe in the concept of breaking down a lesson into small parts and building into more in-depth aspects of the learning process. This is why I might have several lessons on the same concept. Starting out basic to build on is important to help students ensure confidence in the learning process.
