This a early literacy skills class. I will cover letters, letter sounds/phonemes, blending, phonics, and other early literacy information. My class will be structured as follows: First 5 minutes: Introduction to topic 20 minutes: Topic, games, song/book/or craft 5 minutes:review and ending song I will be teaching class with great enthusiasm and flexibility. My class is structured in that we have a topic that we will cover, but it leaves room for spontaneity which is important to have with young learners. We'll get a chance to play games, make crafts, read books and discuss what we have learned all geared to early reading. The child should have some exposure to letters and letter sounds but no need to be an expert because this class is designed as a supplement to your child's literacy learning.
Learning Goals
Students will improve/reestablish their letter sounds/phonemic awareness/word building. This class is designed as a supplement to your child's literacy learning
