Students will learn the basics to reading in order to read every day words at their appropriate level. They will also apply these rules into their spelling and writing.
I am a Georgia-certified Elementary teacher and have taught 3rd grade in a public school setting for 2 years. I have helped many 3rd graders go from not being able to read, to reading at their appropriate grade level and loving it! I have also undergone basic dyslexia training through my county, which gave me great resources to use for all kids.
Homework Offered
Decodable books will be given each week. These are for practice and are not for a grade! Some weeks there may be additional games for your learner to play. Again, these are for practice and not for a grade.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

Students will need a printer, paper, and tape or stapler to build their decodable books. There are optional, fun games given in this course that require extra supplies. These are not a requirement, but you can use them to better enhance your child's learning.
I am an elementary school teacher who believes in playing to learn. I try to make all of my classes interactive, engaging, and fun! Along with teaching I am a professional wedding and family photographer.
