Class Experience

Students will learn about the parts of the brain that help manage anger and calm down: the amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex.  
Students will practice a mindfulness exercise.
I have a Master's Degree in Educational Neuroscience and have been an educator for over twenty years.
There is no homework but worksheets to extend the student's learning will be provided after class. 
 1 file available upon enrollment
Please bring a special object to share during introductions. Also, bring blue, red, and green crayons or markers for our brain coloring activity, as well as the brain coloring sheet I have attached to the classroom.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • Youtube
40 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
