Class Experience

This is a great class to sharpen your persuasive writing and debate skills. While we discuss and debate we will take part in lots of fun activities like wand making, wizard duels, creating our dream dragon, and is a staff writer for the Daily Prophet. Of course, we will be sorted into our houses.

Before each class, students will watch the movie on their own. Then we will meet to discuss and debate what we saw. We will do lots of fun activities and earn house points. Each class will end with a speed round trivia contest. At the end of the class, will see who wins the house cup!

I am a real Harry Potter fan. I even attend Harry Potter conventions every year. I traveled to Ireland to learn how to play Quidditch with the Dublin Dragons. Yes, Quidditch is played int he muggle world. I started reading Harry Potter with my daughter when the series first came out in 1997. She is now 32 and we have passed the love of all things magical to my granddaughters as well.
I combine my skills and a reading specialist, English teacher, and ESL instructor with my knowledge and love of Harry Potter to create an educational experience that is quite unique for my students.
