For over 15 years now, I have been working as a teacher in mainstream British primary schools (with children aged 4-11). In my role, I have worked with a range of children, from those with additional needs to children whom have been classified as gifted and talented. For 10 years, I have been the head of English at two different schools, where I have had the responsibility for driving progress and achievement. My focus as a teacher and a leader has always been to help children reach academic excellence through exciting and innovative lessons.
Homework Offered
There will be an optional homework set after each class. Often it will be to carry on the writing techniques that we have learned in the lesson, however, sometimes there will be bespoke homework. If students choose to do this and then upload their work to the chat or classroom, I will be more than happy to provide them with feedback.Assessments Offered
Children will be given immediate verbal feedback throughout the lesson and parents will receive written feedback via the classroom at the end of the session.Grades Offered
As this is a 'high interest' class, it would suit learners with additional needs.
3 files available upon enrollment- If children are able to type, the lessons work best using Google Docs, so that I can see what they are writing and edit it with them in live time. Please make sure that you have an account set up and logged on for the lesson. - If children cannot or do not want to type we can easily use pen and paper, but please make sure that it is a dark pen that I will be able to see on camera. -Some printed resources may be required, but I will give due notice of these. - Item for Harry Potter Show and tell in session 1.
