In this one-time class, we will celebrate Harry S. Truman's birthday by learning some interesting facts about this 33rd U.S. President's life and time in office.

US Grade 2 - 5

Happy Birthday, Harry S. Truman. May 8th was this 33rd U.S. President's birthday! 

To celebrate, we will briefly explore the life of this president. Students will learn about Harry S. Truman presidential story, as well as some interesting facts about his life. 

Class Expectations:
I love participation and I love activity. I'd love students to verbally participate, but it's not required. I do ask for students to mute their microphones unless they are speaking to help with background noise....

This class is taught in English.

Students will be able to identify facts about this president's life and term in office.

Students will be able to download and print off a worksheet about the president.

*Political opinions and bias, as well as deep dives will NOT be a part of the class. We will learn age-appropriate facts about President Harry S. Truman's term in office from whitehouse.gov, millercenter.org, history.com and Britannica.
